The festive season spreads its wings over Greater Accra, pouring blessings not only over downtown but also across the suburbs. Right after Haatso and Agbogba you can find Old Ashongman on the map, where this unique musical space called BEDA’S is stationed. BEDA’S is at one hand still considered as a precious insider tip among the music lovers due to its hidden location, but on the other hand also known as an international hub, where musicians and bands from all over the world meet, record, perform and collaborate with the local scene. The spacious premises contain a hi-end recording studio, hotel rooms, a restaurant, a bar and of course a stage, where the last nights in 2024 will be celebrated.
During the long awaited holidays every single evening from 25TH to 30TH December BEDA’S KRIZZMAZ embraces you with delicious food, drinks and of course the finest selection of live music. The line up involves numerous surprises from Local Sounds, R’&B’ and Hip Hop to Urban Beats and will be announced prior to the event.
You don’t have to struggle yourself through Accra’s traffic to spend some unforgettable time off with your loved ones. BEDA’S KRIZZMAZ is the music festival happening just next to your doorstep and offers everything your soul desires to end this year with grace.

As Ghana’s general elections approach on 7 December, political tension is rising among contestants and the electorate. To calm the temperatures, Ghanaian musician and trombonist Elikplim Amewode, aka Eli, is gathering mostly disadvantaged kids from around the country to the capital, Accra, to hold the Brass Democrats Kids Peace Concert slated for 3 November.

Talking about music from Switzerland, we have to consider the traditional aspect as well as the multi cultural and open minded approach of bands rooted in the alpine country.
"Hombaerg" blends the swiss dialect effortlessly with rhythms and genres from all around the world. To satisfy their curiosity the band members decided to travel to Ghana and meet "Local Dimension" - a traditional band formed by Aaron Bebe, professor for Xylophon at Legon's University of Performing Arts.
The two groups exchange their cultural backgrounds, put them in one pot and create a soup of the best ingredients from the two worlds.

BeatsWave was inspired by the desire to celebrate music, culture, and the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah, while also promoting heart health awareness on World Heart Day. It’s a blend of music and meaningful causes, bringing together the power of art and social responsibility.
The event aims to create a vibrant and inclusive platform where artists can perform, connect with their fans, and expand their reach, while also raising awareness for important causes like heart health.

🌋 BIM - Benin International Musical 🌋
Benin International Musical - aka BIM - is a unique group that brings rock and rap back to their Voodoo roots. Each performance is a contemporary ceremony, a rare experience not to be missed!
Already boasting an international tour of over 80 dates in more than 20 countries in just three years (Europe, Africa, the United States, Canada), BIM offered a sold- out performance at the Performing Arts Center in New York in 2018. They were spotted by Angelique Kidjo who opened the doors of the legendary Carnegie Hall in 2019, which also sold out.
Commissioner Gordon Williams, American producer with 7 Grammy Awards (Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Steven & Damian Marley, Carlos Santana, Quincy Jones) signed the recording of the new single "Abobo" in 2020.

In 2018 Aaron Bebe Sukura and Stefan Poetzsch founded the New Global Ensemble together with American saxophonist Benjamin Boone. They performed concerts in Accra and Germany, also with additional musicians from Cuba and Poland. In 2022, Aaron participated in a contemporary music production with the Stefan Poetzsch Ensemble in Germany. In 2023, the New Global Ensemble was invited to Johannesburg, South Africa, for the World New Music Days to work on a production with dancers under the direction of choreographer Bettina Essaka (Germany/Cameroon). David Odoom and another percussionist from South Africa also participated in Johannesburg. The New Global Ensemble is collaborating with musicians from all over the world to create a new dimension of groovy, atmospheric, traditional, and experimental sounds.

Emerged at the school for the blind in Akropnong, the MAGIC EYES BAND is the number one visually impaired band in Ghana nowadays, proving that the loss of one sensory organ can boost the development of another one. Their ears are sharp like razor blades and what comes out of this circumstances is just ... MAGIC !
